Digital Ministry
A ministry devoted to serving members and guests in our online community. Provides streaming of Sunday services, midweek messages only found online, maintaining our social media presence, and updating Bible and book studies provided online.

Education and Faith Formation
A team of dedicated volunteers works with the pastor to prepare and teach the Christian faith to kids and adults. This vital ministry strives not just to produce knowledge, but to encourage growth in discipleship.

Evangelism
A ministry devoted to caring for our neighbor by sharing the good news of Christ. Members of the church not only welcome visitors in the building, but also go out to the community and take part in a variety of events, sharing the love of Christ through words and actions.

Member Care
Internal ministry devoted to the emotional, physical, and mental health of each member with care teams, a prayer network, regular check-ins, and just sharing life together.

Ministry devoted to maintaining and improving the physical structure of the church building and grounds.

Quilters of Hope
A service ministry that creates quilts for Lutheran World Relief as well as prayer quilts for members and guests needing comfort.

Social Concerns
A ministry focused on serving our neighbors by feeding the homeless, supplying food to the food bank, making donations of goods to the women's shelter, and providing quilts and care bundles to the needy around the world.

Women’s Ministry:
A supportive ministry focused on the growth and development of women of faith through faith formation, fellowship, leadership, and advocacy.

Youth Ministry
A ministry devoted to the faith formation and social needs of the youth of the church. Leaders and volunteers create a place to practice faith and challenge youth to step out in faith.

El Camino Homeless Organization
El Camino Homeless Shelter operates three facilities in SLO county including an emergency winter shelter in Atascadero. Hope Lutheran serves dinner for shelter residents on the second Tuesday of the month.

Atascadero Loaves and Fishes
Our vision at Atascadero Loaves and Fishes is an end to food insecurity in the areas we serve. We will work to achieve our vision by operating a food pantry staffed entirely by volunteers and providing groceries, other food stuffs, clothing, and propane vouchers to clients who qualify to receive these services.

Lutheran World Relief
Lutheran World Relief (LWR) is an international non-governmental organization that focuses on sustainable development projects and disaster relief and recovery. Today, LWR helps communities living in extreme poverty adapt to the challenges that threaten their livelihoods and well-being, and responds to emergencies with a long-term view. One of LWR's flagship programs – started in 1945 and continuing today – is its Quilt and Kit Ministry. At Hope, we have a goal to make and donate 25 quilts every year.

Literacy for Life
Literacy for Life is a non-profit organization that has been serving San Luis Obispo County for decades. We are committed to empowering adult learners and their families to develop their English language communication skills, in order to lead a fuller and more productive life. One of their weekly locations is Hope Lutheran.

Iglesia Luterana Santa Cruz in Santa Maria, California
Iglesia Luterana SJB began its Spanish-speaking mission outreach in 2002. Pastor Esteban shares the Gospel in the native language of migrant workers and their families in and around Santa Maria, within the walls of the church and in the surrounding fields. The church provides regular meals to farmworkers and operates a weekly food pantry. Hope supports Iglesia Luterana SJB by contributing to its pantry and to its annual Angel Tree Christmas gift drive.

Rutilio Grande Iglesia Luterana in El Salvador
Iglesia Luteranas Rutillio Grande, is a small church in Buena Vista, El Salvador, ravaged during the Civil War there. This small congregation has a partnership with Hope Atascadero. Small teams have gone to El Salvador to provide medical care, teach Vacation Bible School, and assist in raising funds for the building of the new church. A member built an altar for the new Sanctuary, and another member provided a bell for the bell tower to call people to worship and alert of danger.

RISE San Luis Obispo County
RISE is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that provides crisis intervention and treatment services to survivors of sexual and intimate partner violence and their loved ones. All services are provided confidentially, at low or no cost, to anyone regardless of age, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ability or citizenship status. All crisis services are available in Spanish and English.
